Community Services
1. Women care group program
This program is designed to encourage the jobless mothers and young girls to participate in income generating activities. Kibera is the second largest slum in Africa after Soweto and has a population of about one million residents. Women and young girls are trained on how to sustain themselves through baking cakes for sale, Curios and young girls are supported to do tailoring course or start a second hand clothes business. It is our belief that empowering women economically is a practical way of alleviating poverty and hence meeting the physical needs of the society. We have witnessed through this program, the lives of Kibera families have been improved.
